Tertiary Treatment - Nitrogen, Phosphorus Removal

Tertiary treatment technologies can be extensions of the biological treatment process to further stabilize oxygen-demanding substances in wastewater, or to remove nitrogen and phosphorus. Ecologix offers an extensive catalog of tertiary treatment technologies, including carbon adsorption, flocculation, membrane filtration, and pressure filtration.

Activated Carbon

Activated carbon is a material mostly derived from charcoal. Activated carbon is very effective in air and water purification applications, as well as precious metal recovery or removal.

Pressure Filter Vessels

Pressure filters can be used for a variety of conventional filtration media, oxidative media for iron and manganese removal, activated carbon media in any one of several grades and mesh sizes.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane System

Reverse osmosis (RO) is the best alternative for high volume/high quality water treatment. The primary purpose of RO is to produce effluent filtrate (clean water) that has very little in the way of impurities associated with salts and other elements besides water. It is used in both industrial processes and the production of potable water from brackish water or sea water.

Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane System

Ultrafiltration (UF) produces a high quality effluent, devoid of nearly all TSS (Total Suspended Solids), FOG (Fat Oil and Grease) and other contaminants such as Dissolved Metals. UF is used in a wide variety of applications, including wastewater treatment, industrial water, and the production of potable water from brackish water or sea water.
