Metal Precipitant Chemicals for Wastewater Treatment
Ecologix precipitants are expressly formulated to precipitate metal ions from a variety of industrial process wastewaters. Such wastewaters frequently contain chelants and other complexing agents that surround the metal ions and prevent the chemical reaction that converts the ions into insoluble particles. Our precipitants chemically "break" such chelating/complexing rings allowing metals to be precipitated out of solution.

| PTB-25 | A non-toxic precipitant of heavy metals designed to replace traditional DTC chemistry. Testing shows its ability to bind and precipitate heavy metals can be more effective than DTC at similar dosages, and is much safer to aquatic organisms than carbamate chemistry. Along with PTB-6, the PTB-25 blend is frequently used to extract precious metals and industrial metals from water. Common target metals include gold (Au), silver (Ag), palladium (Pd), platinum (Pt), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg) and others. | MSDS |
| PTB-50 | A thiocarbonate, proprietary formulation designed as a non-toxic precipitant of heavy metals from industrial process wastewaters, including metals from chelated/complexed environments. It is a powerful replacement for commonly used toxic DTC/carbamate-type products. Produces significantly less sludge, requires little or no coagulation (is a self coagulating product) and is user friendly (pourable and pumpable).
